Delphi Technologies are now taking bookings for courses taking place in 2020 and 2021, which are open to all. The training takes place at its bespoke workshop just outside Royal Leamington Spa with a maximum group size of six students to 1 trainer. Although individual training courses can be booked, its tailoured training routes, including Service, Diagnostic & Master Technician, are recommended.
Every course is made of theory and practical sessions – spending half the time developing a knowledge framework in preparation for practical application, and the other half on real-world diagnostics featuring common vehicle faults.
An Oscilloscope Introduction, OS1, is a one-day course included in the Delphi Technologies Service Technician training route. Places are currently available for 9,10,11 March 2020. You will learn how to set up the oscilloscope effectively and shown voltage signal testing at sensors and actuators. The time base is explained, in addition to the use of amp clamps and using the tool for fault finding on ignition and fuel system components.
Another Service Technician course is Common Rail Hydraulic Diagnostics, CR1, covering Delphi common rail fuel injection systems. The one-day course is now taking bookings for 3,4,5 November 2020. This delivers the principles of hydraulic and basic electrical testing on Delphi, Bosch, Siemens and Denso systems and covers safe and effective diagnostic strategies, fuel quality analysis and detailed fault diagnosis and repair procedures using sealed rail, false actuator and DS tools.
Vehicle electrics 3, is part of the Delphi Technologies Master Technician pathway, a one-day course designed for technicians looking for an in-depth knowledge of advanced electrical systems, measurements and diagnostic strategy. Upcoming dates include 28 Feb and 15 May. A two-day IMI accredited course on the calibration of Advance Driver Assistance Systems also takes place on 6 February and 2 June.
