chloe headshotAutotechnician talks to Automechanika Birmingham Marketing Manager Chloe Hyland to ask why she believes technicians and garage owners should take a day or two out of the workshop to visit the event…

What are the highlights for workshop visitors?

“We’ve introduced a whole new hall this year called the Garage Quarter, dedicated to anyone working in repair and maintenance. We are grouping all those clients who are offering great deals and discounts on tools and garage equipment in one location… it’s like a One-Stop-Shop for all you would need to help improve your business and run it more efficiently.

Returning this year is the popular Workshop Training Hub, in association with Autotechnician and sponsored by ACtronics. This will offer free technical talks from the likes of Frank Massey, James Dillon, Andy Crook and Andy Savva.

Live demonstrations will also take place in this area, from the likes of the IMI, Valeo, Snap-on, Hella and Delphi, covering the latest in diagnostics and alignment technology, and Hybrid/electrical vehicles.”

Are there any other new areas?

The specialist Demo Hub is a new feature for this year, giving live demonstrations of body and repair customisation. That’s covering ADAS calibration, vehicle body repair, refinishing and customisation products, a real focal area, particularly for bodyshops. We’re also introducing an area in the Garage Quarter called the Business Servicing Village, this will include the likes of the AA Garage Guide, Whocanfixmycar.com, The Motor Ombudsman… So, it’s an area for any independent business who have questions about how to better run their business and getting the most out of their day at work.

We have a social area for garages to meet with similar minded garage owners, where they can have a drink, a bite to eat and just do a bit of networking and share ideas.

Oh, and I must not forget to mention about the extended opening hours – the show will be open until 7pm on Wednesday 6th June!”

Exhibitors include:

Autodata, BM Catalysts, Bosch UK, Delphi Technologies, Draper Tools, Hickleys, Hofmann Megaplan, JHM Butt, Launch Tech, LIQUI MOLY, MEC- DIESEL, Meyle, MOBILETRON UK, National Refrigerants, Pichler Tools, Revive, Snap-on & TEXA UK.
