FlexFuel UK signs partner agreement with Point S

By autotech-nic on March 15, 2019

FlexFuel Energy Development UK (FFEDUK), has signed a partner agreement with independent tyre and autocare network Point S, resulting in the FlexFuel hydrogen engine cleaning solution, Hy-Carbon, being made available to its members throughout the UK.

FFED’s HY-Carbon uses a hydrogen decarbonising process, which results in reduced engine emissions, fuel consumption and increased engine performance. Hydrogen is injected into the intake manifold, to eliminate carbon build-up from key engine components responsible for performance and emissions – admission valves, the EGR valve, turbo and particulate filter. Independent engine tests have shown up to 50% less emissions, the return of engine power and reduced fuel consumption post-cleaning. Business Development Manager Andy Tester commented: “The FlexFuel product range provides our members with a great source of additional revenue and service differentiation for their customers. The technology requires very little training, no additional man power and a very profitable alternative to chemical cleaning solutions that are currently available. Existing FFED customers are seeing a positive difference in their monthly turnover figures since offering the cleaning service to customers and the feedback from drivers has been very favourable to date.”
