The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) launches its first Summer Conference in more than 20 years to address issues around skills, training and recruitment.

The event will take place on Wednesday 12 June at the Belfry Hotel & Resort, Sutton Coldfield, and is sponsored by automotive distributor Alliance Automotive Group (AAG).

The headline speaker is CEO and inspirational speaker Hamish Taylor who will look at how companies can set the right ambition to drive innovative behaviour and unlock potential of a whole organisation. Taylor’s career has taken him from consumer goods giant Procter and Gamble, consultancy firm Price Waterhouse and British Airways to becoming CEO of Eurostar and then CEO of Sainsbury’s Bank.

The conference will also feature a panel interview with NAPA Racing UK’s championship drivers Ash Sutton and Dan Rowbottom, looking at their skills development throughout motorsport and how they continue their training journey.

Mark Field, IAAF Chief Executive, said: “All aftermarket businesses face a common challenge in recruiting and developing people – the IAAF summer conference will offer key insights and advice on how we can change the dynamic and ensure people remain the driving force behind any business.”

Places are limited to only 90 delegates. To book your place at the conference at a cost of £95+vat, please email IAAF member liaison officer Angela Neale at
