The battery sits at the heart of a micro hybrid’s electrical systems and is constantly monitored by the battery management module to determine state of charge, starting capacity and so on to ensure it is kept in the best possible state.
Fitting a battery designed to sit within these systems is obviously crucial but the process of ‘validation’ is also needed to ensure the battery and management module are diagnostically ‘connected’. Failure to validate the battery can cause issues with the Start-Stop system, shutdown of non-essential electrical systems and premature failure of the battery.
