New Cooling Systems Webinar from Gates

By autotech-nic on March 31, 2021

The free to attend technical support series continues with a session about hoses and maintenance

Gates will broadcast a new technical webinar “Cooling Systems: the next generation of modular coolant hoses” on Friday April 30, 2021, at 10.30am.

The free-to-attend webinar will trace the evolution of cooling systems hoses from all-purpose, early straight-line tubing to more modern examples, with moulded sections and branches made for specific models.

Attendees will learn how branched hoses are often constructed with different types of materials, include plastic connectors and are often fitted with a range of sensors, all of which are essential to proper modern on-line vehicle diagnostics.

The webinar will also discuss the typical reasons behind accidental spillages during an oil change and address how both the replacement of inline components as well as general vibrations from the engine itself can potentially cause accelerated wear and tear to modular coolant hoses. It will make clear why it is imperative that hoses in modern cooling systems must be replaced as part of preventive maintenance procedures.
