Scope & Hybrid courses join online academy

By autotech-nath on June 7, 2017
The Virtual Academy is an online information source for technicians, designed to provide manufacturer-level technical training and created specifically for the independent aftermarket. Courses are delivered using interactive video content and this content is categorised into Fundamentals, Engine Management, Vehicle Electrics, Engine Mechanical, Chassis and Hybrid & Electric Vehicles. The team are constantly updating and developing the knowledge base and as new modules are introduced, subscribers have instant access to the updated content at no extra cost.
An advanced oscilloscope functionality course has just been added, to aid the user with diagnostics using the PicoScope. The course provides an in-depth overview of the options and real examples of using the triggers and ruler functions.
A three-part introduction to hybrid has also been uploaded, taking the user through the fundamentals of hybrid technology, what a hybrid vehicle is and the various components that make up most of the hybrids we see on the roads today. Part three looks at the various types of hybrid layouts and an overview of operation. There is a short quiz to complete the course and check understanding. You can experience a selection of the interactive training modules by signing up to a free trial.
