Euro Repar Car Service, the PSA Group’s European-wide garage maintenance and repair network, has announced the launch of its UK network, providing all-makes MOT, service and repairs for retail and fleet customers.
The network aims to add more than 600 independent UK garages to its existing pan-European network of more than 2,500 facilities across France, Spain, Italy, Germany and The Netherlands. The first UK centres are due to open imminently. Colin Start, Head of Marketing for Parts & Service for the PSA Group, says: “Worth around £9 billion every year, the UK’s aftermarket revenue opportunity is one of the largest in Europe, with 3% year on year growth over the last five years. Based on an established and highly successful business model, Euro Repar Car Service offers a unique opportunity for independent garages, which account for 61% of the UK’s channel (compared to 2% autocentres, 17% fast fit outlets and 20% franchised dealers), to achieve their potential growth by joining a centralised, recognisable network.
“Ours is a proposition unlike any other in the UK, with a partnership approach that has deliberately kept the cost
and complexity of entry very low: garages are not even required to change their name.”
Its approach is designed to suit either dealers who have additional unused space, or independent garages looking to be part of a supported network. Workshops must have two manned ramps, a separate reception and a specified level of purchases. Its business managers will work with garage owners to set out a tailored business plan, including a facility assessment and financial forecasting. They provide field and helpline support with facility
planning, tools, business controls, stock profiling, advertising and marketing.
A supplier branded range of parts will be introduced later this year, provided via 28 new, dedicated
parts distributors. Euro Repar Car Service is exhibiting at Automechanika 6-8 June and invites business owners who would like to find out more to visit Stand 19C50.
