E-Axle repair kit

Schaeffler has launched the e-Axle RepSystem-M, an e-axle motor repair kit for the first-generation Hyundai Ioniq, with more to follow before the year is out. Matt Selby, Sales and Marketing Director at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK), says: “This new kit makes it possible to replace damaged bearings in the Ioniq’s e-axle motor, instead of having to replace the entire motor or e-axle. The cost to the owner is only about a quarter of the price of installing a completely new e-axle.”

“More than half of all electric motor drivetrain problems are caused by worn bearings,” continued Matt. “Schaeffler’s new e-Axle RepSystem-M contains all the parts needed for workshops to carry out a professional, efficient and effective repair.”
