UFI Filters sets ambitious growth targets

By autotech-nath on May 24, 2017
UFI Filters, a leading global supplier of OE and aftermarket filters, has set its sights on gaining a 10% share of the UK filter aftermarket within three years, supported by a new distribution platform and warehouse, along with a strengthened sales team.
A ‘last order’ time of 5pm has been implemented, enabling buying groups and motor factors to provide next-day delivery to its customers. Orders will be filled from a new 1,000m² distribution centre in Redditch, just outside Birmingham. Here, UFI will hold stock of over 200,000 parts, covering 96% of the UK car parc.
Karl Ridings joins its UK sales team as Aftermarket UK Sales Manager, complementing Callum Goodland,
UFI’s Aftermarket UK & Ireland Sales Manager.
UFI Group Aftermarket Business Unit Director, Luca Betti, says that UFI’s depth of experience with the OEM
sector has been a huge help to it in the aftermarket in other countries worldwide. “We develop filters in
partnership with six of the world’s top seven major car manufacturers and work with eight of the 10 teams in the Formula 1 championship. In fact, UFI filters are original equipment on eight out of 10 of the UK’s top selling cars last year, from the VW Golf and Ford Focus to the Nissan Qashqai and Audi A3, with 24 different OE filters covering the many different versions of these cars.”
Betti concludes: “We also have 114 globally patented innovations, of which about half relate to aftermarket products. So, we set exactly the same high quality standards for our aftermarket filters as we do for OEM products. We believe this is something that will be well understood by the UK’s knowledgeable trade customers
and mechanics who will choose and specify our products.”
